Exploring Helping Professions

This is a non-residential Learning Community
Who Can Participate: Open to First Year Students and Sophomore HDFS, Psychology or Sociology Majors, or any other major intersted in helping professions
Course: INTD 1810, LC: Exploring Helping Professions; 1-credit; meets Fall semester; students request permission to enroll*

The Exploring Helping Professors Learning Community is designed to offer a chance for students to explore the different professional and research options in the area of helping professions. Students will have opportunities to connect with faculty across the various disciplines in human development and family studies, as well as psychology and sociology. Faculty speakers will discuss areas such as family law and policy, early childhood education, counseling, social work, gerontology, and Honors in the major. Students will also have the opportunity to explore some of the resources available to them on campus.
