(Pre-)Pharmacy Student Profiles

Justine Dickson

Senior Residential Assistant Pharmacy major from Burlington, Connecticut

Justine Dickson

"I chose to live in the (Pre-)Pharmacy LC because I knew that as a current Pharmacy student, I had first-hand experience of the classes as well as the stress of being a Pre-Pharmacy student. The best thing about living in a LC is the sense of friendship that the floor has. Everyone seems to work well together and support one another through stressful times. I have met so many new friends and colleagues while working with Learning Communities. So many of these people have inspired me to not only push myself further, but to strive to be a better person and to help my residents to be better people."

"I am a member of Pharmacy Student Government, the Husky Ambassador Program, Lambda Kappa Sigma, Phi Lambda Sigma (Pharmacy Leadership Society), the St. Thomas Aquinas Choir, the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists, and I've been an Orientation Leader."

Jonathan Lee

Freshman Pre-Pharmacy major from Medford, New York

"I chose to apply to live in a Learning Community because I believed that it would be a great tool in involving me in my major and helping me to network with other Pre-Pharm students. It was also going to be a great way to find study partners and make studying for exams much easier. The best thing about living in a LC is that everyone is in the same boat as you. Especially with Pre-Pharmacy, it's understandable that you have a heavy workload and, at times, it can be very stressful, but with the LC, whether you need help on a problem that is giving you a lot of trouble or if you just want to talk to someone who knows how you are feeling, you literally just have to walk next door."

"The LC so far has made my college experience fantastic. All the people I've met here have become very good friends of mine and I believe that they will be for the rest of my stay here at UConn and possibly even further than that."
