On WiMSE: "We are a group of women who share the same interests, goals, and the determination to do something amazing with our lives. We have so much in common, like our classes, homework, determination and goals. They make me more goal-oriented and help me when I need support." "I thought it would be a great idea to be able to have a class with the girls I live with - all having the same major would only benefit me when it came to studying and going to class. The best thing about living in a LC is the close bond I have formed with all of the girls on my floor. When I took the [WiMSE] seminar class Freshmen year, I liked being forced to communicate with the girls I lived with - it made us all bond. Joining a LC is the best choice you could possibly make. Don't be worried that it will be dorky or anything silly like that because no one looks down on the LCs; if anything, you feel such a strong bond to the program. My LC has allowed me to finally make a group of friends that have the same outlooks on life. I never had friends who understood how hard my major was until I joined WiMSE." "I am involved in WiMSE, Huskies Away From Home, Huskies Away From Home Mentoring, the Outing Club, Mentoring in Biology, Husky Ambassadors, Guard Dogs, Wild Life Society, Debate Club, EcoHusky, and the Nature and Wildlife Club."
