EUROTECH is an exciting International Engineering program that allows students to complete a dual degree, earning a BS degree in Engineering and a BA in German Studies. Engineers who can successfully interface with other cultures in today's global marketplace are highly valued by companies with international operations.
While in the program, students travel to Germany twice - once for Study Abroad, and then a second time to complete an international internship. No previous German language knowledge is required to enter this program.
Students living together in the EUROTECH community can support each other in this challenging pursuit, while also practicing their developing German language skills.
For more information about the benefits of the EUROTECH Program and how to get involved, please visit the EUROTECH Program website.
The EUROTECH Seminar
The first year experience (FYE) EUROTECH seminar
will provide students with an overview of the program, as well as an introduction to the University of Connecticut and life as a college student.

"I am one of the students that participated in the Eurotech Germany trip. I felt it was important to express to you how grateful I am. The recent trip to Germany was undoubtedly one of the greatest experiences of my life. Beyond simply affirming my interest in this program, it provided my first chance to experience life outside this country. I am very thankful that you worked towards supporting and organizing this trip. It was a fantastic itinerary that allowed me to get quite the taste of German culture. I felt that you should know that your work was very much appreciated. Thanks again.”
~William Clifford Birtwell III
"The Eurotech trip to Germany this spring was very well run and every day was interesting. Our chaperon, Oliver Hoib, made the experience more valuable by providing insight and perspective. The companies and schools we visited in Germany seemed genuinely interested and excited to see us and were enormously hospitable. It was clear that the Eurotech students that came before us left a good impression. The trip was very informative as an exposure to the nature of industry and academia in Germany. It has also solidified my commitment to the Eurotech program."
~Bern Dibner
“I'd just like to say thank you for organizing the activities for us on the trip. It was a great trip, and very insightful to the German culture. Thanks again."
