About Learning Communities at UConn

New students can opt to participate in a faculty-led Living-Learning Community, and/or join a non-residential Learning Community when they enter UConn. With 35 Learning Communities, 20 of which are residential, there are options for students in any major or plan of study. First year participants take courses and engage in a year-long integrated program that leads to students reporting closer bonds to faculty, making friends faster, more opportunities to engage in leadership positions, undergraduate research, and enriching trips, and access to study abroad opportunities.
