About Learning Communities at UConn
New students can opt to participate in a faculty-led Living-Learning Community, and/or join a non-residential Learning Community when they enter UConn. With 34 Learning Communities, 20 of which are residential, there are options for students in any major or plan of study. Participants take courses and engage in a year-long integrated program that leads to stronger faculty bonds, closer friendships, increased leadership and undergraduate research opportunities, as well as trips and study abroad opportunities tied to academic interests.
